Night for Sight celebration set for Oct. 28

“An Evening Unmasking Blindness” is the theme of the 2016 Night for Sight celebration, which will be held Friday, Oct. 28, at Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge St. from 7 to 10 p.m.

Designed to celebrate the gift of sight given to patients throughout the world, A Night For Sight is staged to maximize the use of our eyes with crowd-pleasing stilt walkers, roving dancers and a champagne diva. Expect the unexpected at this non-conforming event with open bar, live music and masked mystery.

Tickets are $100 per person with $50 directed as an instant taxable donation to fund two free sight-restoring surgeries.

“We hope everyone can join us as we celebrate five years of restoring sight to patients throughout the world and recognize the 2016 Visionary of the Year, Swim for Sight champion and U.S. Olympic gold medalist, Missy Franklin,” said Jessica Feilmeier, development director for the division.

Dress is formal and guests are encouraged to wear masks.
