Appreciation Week: Wake up with UNMC

Start your work day with some free breakfast this morning. Stop by the Sorrell Center Alumni Commons or the Durham Research Center Commons from 8- 10 a.m. for muffins, bagels, orange juice and coffee. Free UNMC SWAG while supplies last.

Remember, there are several other activities during the week that will offer free prizes. These include:

  • Be the first to spot one of 12 hidden ITEACH icons in campus buildings and win a prize.
  • Pick up a free UNMC car window decal (while supplies last) at any of the Appreciation Week events and display it on your car. Every day, a few lucky winners will find a “ticket” on their car and win a prize.
  • Enjoy a month of free admission to the Center for Healthy Living as part of the grand opening of the new space (Oct. 10 – Nov. 10; existing memberships will be frozen during this time).

Did the snacks run out in the first 5 minutes? All of us who arrived after 8:15 were bummed! Oh well, it's the thought that counts! Maybe plan for more folks next year. Thanks for your efforts, though!

I showed up at 8:30 AM and there was no one there. Nothing left-but a little bit of coffee. We were disappointed.

We got there by 8:30 a.m. and it looked like it had never even happened! NOTHING left but coffee and stacks of unused plates on the tables – that was the only evidence that any event had even taken place! 🙁 Wow – that appreciation event sure didn't last very long!

Disappointed too. Doesn't help that it was in the center of the student area, I wonder who got all the goodies??? There are thousands of people who work here, please plan better to make us feel appreciated.

Thanks for the coffee! I'm sure the other stuff was great, too. :/

Thank you! I enjoyed the orange juice and the mini-bagel.
