The enrollment period for NUFlex benefits ends today.
Even UNMC staff who are satisfied with their current benefit plans need to log on to the Firefly Intranet site and complete the enrollment process. The enrollment period ends today at 5 p.m. CST.
Benefit office representatives caution against waiting until the end of the day to complete enrollment, as the system may be slowed due to increased usage, and staff will not be available after 5 p.m. to answer questions or provide help.
Necessary activities include:
- View current benefit selections and make any desired changes. If no changes are made online, you will keep your current benefits plan.
- Enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts. If no changes are made online, you will not be enrolled in the FSAs.
- Complete the Health Risk Assessment. This must be done every year to receive the enhanced wellness and preventive services benefit for you and your covered dependents.
- Designate your tobacco/nicotine status. If you do not complete the designation, it will default to tobacco/nicotine use which will result in higher premiums for the voluntary life insurance coverages.
