Student forums set for Monday

On Monday, two student forums will be held with senior UNMC leaders to enable students to ask questions, share concerns and learn more about available resources that promote well-being.

In a message to students earlier this week, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dele Davies, M.D., reiterated the assurances of UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., that, as an organization, UNMC will continue to promote an atmosphere that encourages the mutual respect and safety of each of our students.

The forum will allow students to address campus leaders on state fiscal challenges and the leadership changes that will result from the recent elections. Due to the short duration of the meeting, students were asked to submit questions in advance to David Carver, Ph.D., executive director of counseling.

Faculty are asked to facilitate student attendance at the forums, which will be Monday from noon to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 6 p.m.
