For the second consecutive year, UNMC has been ranked as the No. 2 employer in Omaha with more than 100 employees in Omaha Magazine’s Best of Omaha Contest for 2017.
“We are proud to once again be ranked in the Best of Omaha rankings. I think most of our employees realize UNMC is a great place to work,” said UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. “This just helps confirm that their instincts are correct.”
“There are lots of employers in the Omaha area with more than 100 employees, so to be ranked No. 2 speaks volumes for the quality work environment we have here,” said Aileen Warren, assistant vice chancellor for human resources. “It should make all of us feel proud. I can assure everyone that the UNMC leadership team is absolutely committed to making UNMC the best that it can be. We want to be the premier employer where employees can go to build an outstanding career.”
PayPal was ranked as the No. 1 employer with more than 100 employees, while Union Pacific came in third behind UNMC.
Omaha Magazine publishes its “Best of Omaha” issue annually, drawing on votes from readers to select the top businesses, entertainment venues, services and other honorees in many categories.
This marks the 25th year for the Best of Omaha Contest and the 33rd year that Omaha Magazine has been in existence.
