UNO adviser on campus in June

For UNMC employees who wish to get their bachelor’s degrees, now may be the time to take advantage of the University of Nebraska scholarship program.

An adviser from the University of Nebraska at Omaha will be available at UNMC on certain days in June to meet with anyone who is interested in starting or finishing their degree. The advisor can help employees pursue the bachelor of multidisciplinary studies (effective fall 2017; formerly bachelor of general studies) degree.

The bachelor of multidisciplinary studies (BMS) degree is a flexible, individualized degree program designed especially for adult, military and transfer students. The multidisciplinary nature of the program provides opportunities to customize the degree to support career goals, satisfy personal aspirations or prepare for graduate study.

Students can take classes online, on campus or at off-campus locations, including UNMC. Most transfer credit from accredited colleges and universities is accepted, along with military credit.

A UNO adviser will be available on the following dates and times:

  • June 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Administrative Building, Room 2032
  • June 22, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Durham Research Center, Room 1002
  • June 28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Administrative Building, Room 2032

Please contact Nicole Gamerl to set up an advising appointment today. Appointments will last 45 minutes. If you have previously earned college credits, please send a copy of your transcripts before the appointment so they can be evaluated for transfer ahead of time. For this purpose, transcripts can be unofficial copies.
