Registration open for transplantation/oncology conference

Conference registration is now open for the eighth Extraordinary Innovations and Emerging Trends in Transplantation and Oncology, to be held July 11-12 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. The conference is sponsored by Nebraska Medicine/UNMC.

Registration is $99 for the full, two-day event, and $69 for a one-day registration. The conference will provide attendees with an overview of emerging trends in oncology, solid organ- and blood/marrow transplantation. More than 25 world-renowned clinical experts will provide insight into innovative approaches to the ongoing management and continuing support of patients with complex cancers and organ failures.

Specialists will share their insights into the:

  • benefits of having a multidisciplinary team involved in managing patients diagnosed with prostate or thyroid cancer;
  • advances in transplantation for patients with sickle cell anemia and the novel therapies being incorporated when transplanting patients with multiple myeloma;
  • impact on the overall patient experience when implementing new programs and initiatives;
  • examining advances in lung, heart and living donor kidney transplantation and intestinal rehabilitation;
  • ethical principles and considerations unique to solid organ transplant; and
  • essential roles a variety of health care professionals play as patients move through the solid organ transplant continuum.
