As the new school year begins, come celebrate UNMC’s diversity and get to know your fellow classmates and coworkers at the #IamUNMC BBQ on Aug. 23.
Faculty, staff and students are all welcome to attend this all-campus BBQ from 4-7 p.m. at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza. Enjoy free food from local food trucks (while supplies last), giveaways (while supplies last), music and games.
All are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
This event is hosted by the UNMC Student Senate, the Recruitment and Student Engagement Office, and the UNMC Department of Human Resources. it is sponsored in part by Metro Credit Union in collaboration with the UNMC Department of Public Relations, the Center for Healthy Living and the UNMC Bookstore.
The rain location will be in the Truhlsen Events Center in the Sorrell Center.
Other UNMC campuses also will celebrate the new school year with their own welcome events. Faculty, staff and students at those locations will be notified by event organizers.
