Deb Von Seggern-Johnson

The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) recently appointed Deb Von Seggern-Johnson to serve as the state education coordinator for Nebraska.

She will be working toward building awareness of and support for NAEMT education across the state with the Department of Health and Human Services, EMS training centers and other health care agencies.

Von Seggern-Johnson also will be mentoring and monitoring the educational programs across the state and ensuring quality assurance in her new role. The courses cover a wide scope of content such as trauma, medical, pediatrics, geriatrics and leadership.

The mission of NAEMT is to improve patient care through high quality, cost effective, evidence-based education that strengthens and enhances the knowledge and skills of EMS practitioners.

Limited walk-in service available at ID office Aug. 14-18
The UNMC Photo ID office will have limited walk-in service available for employees, staff and students the week of Aug. 14-18. The office, located in the Student Life Center, will be servicing all of the campus colleges with new student enrollment and badging. If a person knows they will need a new ID badge because of department, credential or name changes, it is suggested that they come in either prior to this week or after. Emergency service will continue to be provided in the case of lost or stolen cards; however, expect long wait times.
