Research/professional interests:

• Geriatric medicine, specifically care of older adults in the hospital.

How I fell in love with internal medicine:
While in medical school, I fell in love with internal medicine during morning report, a daily interactive lecture where we reviewed interesting cases. It was exciting and challenging to search through various clues to arrive at the diagnosis. My passion for the field is renewed every day through interactions with my patients and their families.

Three things people may not know about me:

• I completed the bike ride across Nebraska (BRAN) three times and also biked across Iowa (RAGBRAI) once.
• I am a die-hard Notre Dame fan — Go Irish!
• I love traveling with my husband. Our favorite destinations are in Central and South America where we can practice our Spanish and salsa steps!
