Training is the focus of 32nd annual Latta Lecture

Susan Skochelak, M.D., a key executive for the American Medical Association (AMA), will deliver the 32nd annual John S. Latta Lecture at noon on Thursday in the Durham Research Center Auditorium.

Her presentation, “Training Health Professionals: Stuck in Analog for Digital Health Systems?” is open to the campus. A sandwich lunch is available beginning at 11:45 a.m. for the first 120 people.

Dr. Skochelak serves as the group vice president for medical education at the AMA. She leads the AMA’s Accelerating Change in Medical Education initiative promoting innovation to align physician training with the changing needs of our health care system.

Previously she served as the senior associate dean for academic affairs at the University of the Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and as the director of Wisconsin Area Health Education System. See her full bio.
