Robert Tillman, Ph.D., will speak on “More Than Just a Postdoc: Lessons Learned Through Others’ Success” at the annual postdoctoral seminar, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday in the Sorrell Center, Room 1005.
Dr. Tillman is the director of faculty and academic development at the University of Texas MD Anderson Center Center in Houston.
At the event, the UNMC Excellence in Research Award will be presented. The award recognizes postdocs for their research accomplishments.
Finalists for the award are:
- Mathilde Bonnemaison, UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology; and
- Shyam Sundar Nandi, UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology.
One first-place winner will be awarded a cash prize of $1,000. The runner-up will receive $500.
Lunch will be provided for the first 50 UNMC students.
