Faculty and students who are interested in developing the next series of e-learning modules are invited to attend one of two informational meetings on Sept. 26 and 27.

The meetings will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 2010. Lunch is provided for the first 35 students attending. No reservations required.

With this new cohort, faculty will lead the e-learning projects. Each team will include two to four students and receive $1,000 for project creation or student stipends. The faculty and team members will select their topic and determine the interactivity that makes content memorable. Each project will be highlighted on the E-Gallery and at the E-Learning Showcase on April 10, 2018.

For the first time, the program will support an option for faculty to conduct educational research and scholarship about the e-module. Faculty can boost their promotion and tenure opportunities — as well as their curriculum vitaes (CVs) — with scholarly work that helps faculty turn their innovation into publication.

Students who participate enhance their CVs and gain valuable teaching skills, while also contributing to and enhancing the campus curriculum.

To apply for the upcoming E-Learning Program, individuals must submit the required forms by Oct. 23. Award winners will be notified on Nov. 8 and projects must be completed by March 27, 2018.
