All 17 funded projects will include collaboration with the Interprofessional Academy of Educators and the UNMC Department of Biostatistics, which will study the modules’ efficacy once they are implemented.

“We are excited to support 17 new E-Learning Program award winners representing seven colleges,” said Peggy Moore, director of E-Learning at UNMC. “This request for proposals places faculty members in the project director role while working with a student development team to incorporate creativity and learner influences into the courses.”

The diversity of projects demonstrates the faculty’s desire to incorporate interactive and engaging e-learning content in the curriculum, Moore said.

The content will be made available on the UNMC E-Gallery when completed in April 2018.

Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dele Davies, M.D., praised the originality of the proposals.

“The 400 or so e-modules that have been created by our faculty and students have become an important and integral part of our culture at UNMC,” Dr. Davies said. “Each interactive module highlights the expertise and collaborative nature of our faculty, and demonstrates the ingenuity and creative abilities of our student developers. I look forward to seeing the projects from our newest cohort of innovators and how they will impact different aspects of our curricula.”
