The "Rock Garden" is part of the McGoogan Library's relaxation activities.

To help students relax while finishing out the semester, the McGoogan Library will host relaxation breaks through Dec. 15.

These include:

Through Dec. 15:

  • Rock Garden – Decorate a rock or write some words of encouragement to yourself or others. Rocks can be taken with you or left for encouragement of others. Pens, markers and rocks will be provided.
  • Toss Your Stress – Do you have some pent-up stress? Come over and toss it away in our “Stress Hoop!” We will provide the paper and pens, and will gladly recycle your stressors at the end of the day.

11 a.m. today:

  • Snack Break – Students are invited to enjoy a healthy snack in the Linder Lounge, located on the sixth floor of the library.

For deeper relaxation, students are welcome to spend time in the Reflection Room on the eighth floor of the library, or at the Wellness Corner on the northwest side of the sixth floor of the library. Full-body massage chairs are located in both areas.

The library will have extended hours during final exam week:

    • Sunday, Dec. 10: 1 p.m.-10 p.m.
    • Dec. 11 through Dec. 14: 7:30 a.m.-midnight

Winter break hours will begin Dec. 15. For a full listing of the library’s hours, please see the library website.

As a reminder, badge access is required on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
