Nebraska State Sen. Lynne Walz, who represents Legislative District 15, the Fremont area, recently visited UNMC.
Sen. Walz toured the lab of Hani Haider, Ph.D., professor of orthopaedic surgery, the Munroe-Meyer Institute and the iEXCEL Visualization Hub.
At Dr. Haider’s Biomechanics Laboratory, dedicated to cutting-edge experimental simulation and testing of the next generation of orthopaedic implants, Sen. Walz said, “UNMC is leading the way in providing technology that will improve the quality of health care. We are privileged and proud of the work that is done at UNMC.”
She continued: “The advancement of this technology is recognized by medical institutions around the world.”
