MMI’s Dr. Zangrillo takes part in panel discussion following film “Dina”
Film Streams and the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities will present a one-time, free screening of “Dina” at 7 p.m. March 13 at the Ruth Sokolof Theater, 1340 Mike Fahey St., followed by a post-show discussion.

DINA captures the cadences and candid conversations of a relationship that reexamines the notion of love on-screen. Dina, an outspoken and eccentric 49-year-old in suburban Philadelphia, invites her fiance Scott, a Walmart door greeter, to move in with her. Having grown up neurologically diverse in a world blind to the value of their experience, the two are head-over-heels for one another, but living together poses a new challenge.

Following the film will be a panel discussion featuring: Amanda Zangrillo, Psy.D., director of autism diagnostic clinics from the Munroe-Meyer Institute’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders; Denise Gehringer, program coordinator for Ollie Webb Center, Inc.; and Angela Ligtenberg, area director for Integrated Life Choices. Mary McHale, board president of the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities, will moderate.

Free tickets for this one-time event can be reserved online or through either the Ruth Sokolof Theater or Dundee Theater box office.
