A preventive maintenance project will affect the escalators located in the Durham Outpatient Center (DOC) this weekend and next.
The escalators located on level one will not be accessible starting at 8 p.m.on Friday and will continue to be offline until late Sunday.
Then, starting at 8 p.m. on March 9 through late March 11, the escalators accessing levels two and three of the DOC will be offline.
“Due to the magnitude of the job and because of unknowns that may exist at the start of this project, there is a chance that the escalators will not reopen at the end of the weekend,” said Brian Hovey, director, facility operations and maintenance. “We will do our best to complete the work as soon as possible, but apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
