The 49th Annual Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum (MSBRF), co-sponsored by UNMC and Creighton University (CU), was held Feb. 17.
The MSBRF provides an opportunity for students from UNMC, CU, and the Midwest region to prepare abstracts of their original research and to present their work to faculty and peers in a collegial, low-stress learning environment. Presentation formats include oral and poster presentations, each competing for cash awards.
At the forum, 140 students (94 graduate students/residents and 46 medical/professional students) presented their research in oral and poster sessions from:
- Creighton University School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy and Health Professions;
- UNMC;
- Hennepin County Medical Center;
- Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science;
- Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science;
- Southern Illinois University; and
- South Dakota State University.
