May 12 is the American Heart Association’s 2018 Heart Walk, and the UNO/UNMC/Nebraska Medicine community is invited to participate.
The event will be held in Omaha at Miller’s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road. Events include:
- 7 a.m : Festivities begin
- 9 a.m.: Opening ceremonies
- 9:30 a.m.: Official start of the Heart Walk
UNMC, UNO and Nebraska Medicine are sponsors for this year’s event.

Members of the UNMC, UNO and Nebraska Medicine community can sign up to participate at the Heart Walk website. Click “Register” at the top of the site, click “Join a Team,” and in the “Choose an existing company” menu, select either “Nebraska Medicine/UNMC” or “University of Nebraska at Omaha.”
UNMC/Nebraska Medicine’s fundraising goal is $50,000. UNO’s fundraising goal is $10,000.
