There is now a shuttle running between the Omaha VA Medical Center and UNMC.
The shuttle will run from 5:45 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
It will pick up at Lot 1 at the VA and drop off at UNMC at the Durham Research Center and at shuttle shelters,which will be located in Lot 636 on the west side of Saddle Creek Road. Lot 636 is located between ACE Rent-To-Own and the Metro Credit Union and is directly in front of Voigtman’s Variety Woods, Inc., at 609 S. 48th St.
Three shuttle shelters — currently under construction — will be marked as A, B and C.

The shuttle will be running to accommodate VA employees whose parking has been disrupted by a parking construction project. But physicians, residents and other UNMC personnel and students can use the shuttle as well. Shuttle service is expected to continue until spring of 2020.
