Gallup survey on campus climate arrived April 12

Students, faculty and staff of the University of Nebraska should have received an email last week from Gallup with a campus climate survey.

Some members of the UNMC community are reporting that the survey, sent April 12, was diverted to their email “junk” or “clutter” folder.

Members of the UNMC community who did not receive the survey are requested to review their junk and clutter folders. The survey was sent out on April 12, from the sender “Gallup,” with the heading “University of Nebraska System Climate Survey!”

The climate survey was informed by input from a university-wide working group representing all campuses. In a letter, President Hank Bounds, Ph.D., and the university chancellors urged members of the university community to complete it.

“Your answers will be completely confidential, so we’d ask you to be as candid as possible,” the letter said. “A similar survey will be sent to NU alumni, likely in May. We’ll use the aggregate data to identify broad strengths and weaknesses; where significant opportunities for improvement emerge, we will appoint teams to develop action plans.

“It is our goal for the University of Nebraska to be the very best place in the nation to be a student and the best place to work,” he said. “We know we can do better, and we hope you will help us chart a path forward. Thank you for your support and for all your contributions to the University of Nebraska.”

If employees did not receive the email in their inbox and have deleted information in their junk or clutter, have their lost their opportunity to take the survey?

Nothing in my junk, clutter, or deleted files from Gallup. Now what?
