Frontier Strings to perform at cancer center

The Frontier Strings

The Frontier Strings

The Healing Arts Program is hosting a free performance by the Omaha Conservatory of Music’s Frontier Strings at 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, in the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center lobby.

Frontier Strings is a premiere string ensemble, comprised of advanced students, which performs a variety of repertoire — pop songs, sacred music, fiddle tunes, classical show tunes, and movie music — all from memory. Frontier Strings performs throughout the community during the academic year and tours during the summer. The group has performed throughout the United States and Europe, delighting audiences everywhere with their stunt fiddling dance moves, and even hula-hooping while performing music at top speed.

The free performance is open to patients, families, staff, students and members of the general public.
