Students receive graduate research assistantship/fellowship
Three Munroe-Meyer Institute graduate students have received the UNMC graduate research assistantship/fellowship in 2018-19. They are:

  • Lara Bergdolt, a third-year pharmacology and experimental neuroscience graduate student in lab of Anna Dunaevsky, Ph.D. Her project is examining the interaction between environmental and genetic risk factors for autism using mouse models.
  • Ethan Schroeder, a third-year graduate student in the developmental neuroscience laboratory of Jyothi Arikkath, Ph.D. His home department is Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy, and he is on the anatomy teaching track. His studies are focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying aberrations in CDKL5 disorder, a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder associated with epilepsy, intellectual disability and autism.
  • Jaime Crowley, a third-year graduate student in the applied behavior analysis Ph.D. program. Her research is on effective interventions for food selectivity and resistance-to-change behavior in children with autism.

Registration still open for Aug. 4 Owl Ride
