In the continual effort to identify and implement key efficiencies, the Mail Services operations of UNO and UNMC are being brought together.
The move to a joint mail service operation will not impact any currently filled positions and will not result in any major impact to the campus’ day-to-day mail delivery and pickup.
The change continues the work already being done to streamline the mail process through single-point drop-off for mail. It also provides cost savings and efficiencies through shared personnel, software, physical space and delivery vehicles.
A transition period will take place over several weeks as processes are refined and any necessary changes are implemented. In the event any services are adjusted as a result of process changes, that information will be communicated to campus in a timely manner.
