Holiday Skate Day event is today

The UNMC Ice Rink will be hosting its fourth annual Holiday Skate Day for UNMC students and employees from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.

Strap on some skates, do a few laps around the UNMC Ice Rink to the tune of favorite holiday classics, and enjoy hot chocolate and treats.

The first 200 people in attendance will receive a winter UNMC hat. As a reminder, admission to the ice rink is free for all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees and students.

The UNMC Ice Rink, which is open to the public, will remain in operation through Feb. 10.

Hours of operation are:

  • Monday – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday – 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The annual Skate-a-Thon for Parkinson’s will be held from 2 p.m. Jan. 25 to 2 p.m. Jan. 26.
