CVS offering free heart health screenings

As part of CVS Health’s ongoing commitment to building healthier communities, the pharmacy chain will be offering no-cost “Know Your Numbers” heart health screenings at MinuteClinic locations every Thursday in February, including Valentine’s Day, to anyone 18 years old and over.

UNMC faculty and staff can click here to print a copy of a voucher to be presented at the clinic and/or locate the closest MinuteClinic location.

UNMC’s pharmacy coverage is provided by CVS Health.

“Valentine’s Day is in February and February is also Heart Month,” said Jayme Nekuda, Ph.D., associate director of human resources at UNMC. “I can’t think of a better gift to give your loved ones than the peace of mind that you’ve had your heart health checked by knowing your numbers.”

This is a nice gesture but since you need to fast for 8 to 12 hours during the week is hard to do. What about offering the free(or even reduces) cost?
