How I fell in love with medical librarianship:
I started my library career in reference and user services, so I enjoy that this profession allows me to work with a variety of library patrons (students, researchers, nurses, community members, etc.) and to help them locate and access information that they need.
Degrees:
- Bachelor’s of Science, education, University of Nebraska at Omaha
- Master’s, library and information science, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Memberships:
- Medical Library Association
- Midcontinental Chapter of the Medical Library Association
- Special Library Association
Three things people may not know about me:
- I’m the only redhead in my family, on both my mother’s and father’s side.
- I spent two weeks in Ireland as an undergrad with my Irish literature class.
- I’ve just started to get into podcasts — topics that I listen to range from books, libraries (New York Public Library has a good one), cross stitching, TED talks and humor.
Welcome Danielle!
Congratulations Danielle. I remember the day you were hired. Enjoy your time at the McGoogan Library. I will always have fond memories
