Community partners offer summer events

UNMC’s community partners are ready to help you enjoy your summer. Take a look below at the special events you and your family can take part in this summer.

At the Durham Museum, get ready for a Dino-mite summer. Their new exhibit “Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family” will open June 8 and run all summer long. Every day throughout the exhibit, museum staff will host Tyrannosaurs at Two, where visitors will learn all they need to know about dinosaurs and compete in different trivia games to win prizes.

At the Joslyn Art Museum, celebrate Omaha’s rich diversity with free, family-friendly cultural activities. Join the museum on June 8 to try an art-making activity inspired by the work of local artist Farah Al-Sebaie, a self-taught artist who recently exhibited her embroidery work at the New American Arts Festival in Benson.

The Durham Museum and Joslyn Art Museum provide free museum admission for UNMC employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge.
