Music as Medicine will kick off its new season Oct. 17, with a jazz performance by Susie Thorne and Friends from noon-1 p.m. in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.
The concert will be sponsored by the UNMC Office of the Chancellor.
The season will continue monthly, with scheduled acts including:
- Nov. 21: Omaha Chamber Music Society — Palladium Brass
- Dec. 5: Omaha South Magnet High School Choir
- Jan. 16: Omaha Chamber Music Society — Bassoons Across America
- Feb. 20: Camille Metoyer Moten
- March 19: Omaha Chamber Music Society — Christie Beard
- April 16: Adams & Cooley Rat Pack Jazz
- May 21: Omaha Chamber Music Society – Cass Quartet
All concerts are free and open to the public. Bring your lunch and let music be your medicine.
