New grading option available for faculty

The UNMC Academics Records Office has announced academic records grading updates for the fall semester.

Starting this semester, UNMC faculty will be provided with new final grading options that will allow a more secure and efficient way to provide grades to students. The “Canvas Final Grading” integration option is another way for faculty to securely transfer grades from Canvas to Peoplesoft at the end of the semester.

The UNMC Academic Records Office and UNMC Department of Information Technology have been working with the Nebraska Student Information System (NeSIS) to develop a simple method of importing grades from Canvas into MyRecords. This new process will reduce both the amount of time needed to enter final grades, as well as minimize the potential for data entry error.

The “Canvas Final Grading” functionality is available as an option for grading for all fall 2019 faculty in the MyRecords dashboard. More information, tutorials and documentation on this process is available on this Academic Records website.

For more information about “Canvas Final Grading,” contact the academic records office at 402- 559-2151 or at studentservices@unmc.edu. If you have any questions about Canvas, contact the UNMC Help Desk.
