American Midwest Ballet performers will be on campus Nov. 13.

At noon on Nov. 13, members of the American Midwest Ballet “Nutcracker” production will be dancing at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. Dancers will perform in costume for spectators, staff and patients in the main ground floor lobby area at a free event sponsored by the Healing Arts Program.

Excerpts feature the enigmatic Uncle Drosselmeyer with the beautiful Porcelain Doll he brings to entertain guests at a Christmas party — just before young Clara’s dream journey to the Land of Sweets, where the beautiful and benevolent Sugar Plum Fairy reigns.

Following the performance will be a question-and-answer session with ballet founder Erika Overturff and an opportunity for pictures. See information about purchasing “Nutcracker” tickets for full performances in Omaha.
