Bassoons Across Nebraska |
The 2019-20 Music as Medicine series will continue on Jan. 16 with a performance by the Omaha Chamber Music Society’s “Bassoons Across Nebraska” from noon-1 p.m. in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.
“Bassoons Across Nebraska” features bassoonists Joyce Besch, James Compton, Nicholas Nelson and Karen Sandene.
This performance will be sponsored by the UNMC College of Medicine with support from the UNMC Department of Human Resources. The Music as Medicine series is sponsored by the UNMC Office of the Chancellor with support from the UNMC Department of Human Resources.
The season will continue monthly, with scheduled acts including:
- Feb. 20: Camille Metoyer Moten
- March 19: Omaha Chamber Music Society — Christie Beard
- April 16: Adams & Cooley Rat Pack Jazz
- May 21: Omaha Chamber Music Society – Cass Quartet
All concerts are free and open to the public. Bring your lunch and let music be your medicine.
