Opera Omaha's Community Opera Fellows will hold a workshop on the UNMC campus Jan. 30.

The Healing Arts Program will be hosting a creativity workshop for UNMC faculty and staff with Opera Omaha from noon-1 p.m. on Jan. 30.

Led by the Community Opera Fellows, the workshop will engage a variety of art forms and modalities to inspire participants to seek and discover their own creative spark.

During the workshop, participants will be provided tools to relieve stress, tap into their inner creative muse and discover the joys of creation.

“There is something for everyone and we welcome you to join us, escape into art, and create with us,” said Colleen Heavican Cass, curator of the Healing Arts Program. “In this workshop we will explore the many art forms within opera from visual arts to set design, from costuming to music, as we create our own works of art.”

No artistic or music experience is necessary to participate in the event.
The free workshop will be held at the Durham Research Center II, Room 1002. Space is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required. Email the Healing Arts Program to reserve a spot.
