Bladder health will be the topic of the next Olson Center Brown Bag Luncheon, which will be held at noon on Feb. 18 at the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater.

Speaker Jennifer Cera, D.N.P., assistant professor in the UNMC College of Nursing, and nurse practitioner in the Olson Center for Women’s Health, will discuss “You’re In Control: Prevention, Risk Reduction and Simple Treatment Options for Bladder Health.”

Urinary incontinence is the eighth most prevalent chronic condition in women. New, progressive research focuses on the prevention and risk reduction of urinary incontinence to decrease severity and increase quality of life. This educational offering aims to provide a foundation of knowledge for women to address risk factors, promote prevention and learn about conservative self-help strategies, lifestyle modifications and non-surgical therapies.

Seating is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345 or register on Engage.

Attendees may bring lunch; simple refreshments will be provided.

The lectures are free. There is a $10 cost to obtain nursing credit. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.
