Olson Brown Bag will discuss marijuana usage

Amie Hollard, M.D., assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology, will speak on the topic “Marijuana: Is it Medicine?” at the next virtual Olson Center Brown Bag Luncheon at noon on May 19.

Dr. Hollard will discuss how marijuana and its derivatives work in the body, as well as how the use of cannabis compounds affect health and disease, and the short- and long-term risks with cannabis use, especially during pregnancy.

This lecture is free. The cost to obtain nursing credit is $10. Payment instructions will be sent along with viewing instructions. Nursing credit is allowed only for the live presentation.
