Fifty-one posters were presented at the 10th annual UNMC Cardiovascular Research Symposium, held Feb. 3 at UNMC.

Keshore Bidasee, Ph.D., associate professor of pharmacology and experimental neuroscience, earned first-place honors in the basic sciences division. The poster of Saulius Kalvaitis, M.D., house officer IV, internal medicine, was judged as best in the clinical sciences division.

In all, 80 people attended the symposium, which featured several presentations from UNMC faculty and a keynote address from Donald Helstad, M.D., the Zahn Professor of Internal Medicine and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa.
