Medical center employees are invited to “An Evening with the Smithsonian” on Tuesday, March 21, at the Durham Western Heritage Museum. The event features “Latin Jazz 101” presented by Dr. Ben Lapidus, a Smithsonian selected scholar.
The exhibition and entertainment are from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the lecture and demonstration. Cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception is included. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by March 20 to the Education Department at 444-5027.
Under a partnership with the Durham Western Heritage Museum, UNMC, UNMC Physicians and The Nebraska Medical Center employees and their families are admitted to the museum free by showing their employee ID badge.
