NUFlex benefits enrollment begins today

Today marks the beginning of the annual NUFlex benefits enrollment for the University of Nebraska faculty and staff. Enrollment begins at 8 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) and runs through 5 p.m. CST Nov. 13.

Items that need completed annually during this three-week period are:

  • Updating your tobacco/nicotine designation
  • Enrolling in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for 2021
  • Completing the Wellstream Health Risk Assessment

Employees also have the ability to review their current benefit elections and make changes for 2021.

Since changes are not allowed throughout the year (with the exception of a few Internal Revenue Service-approved life events), it is imperative that all employees log into Firefly and then go into Employee Self Service (ESS), review and/or make desired changes/additions to their current benefits, and then carefully review their emailed confirmation statement. The benefits office suggests everyone either print or save a copy for their records.

Anyone who is having trouble logging into Firefly will need to contact the Firefly Helpdesk at 402-559-BUZZ (2899) or via email.

Due to COVID-19, the benefits office is practicing social distancing. All employees will need to call or set up a Zoom meeting for questions or concerns pertaining to your benefit enrollment. In the rare instance an issue cannot be resolved using one of these methods, the Benefits Office will set up a time for you to come into the office for assistance. Please note that all in-person appointments must be scheduled with a staff member via email or by calling and leaving a message at 402-559-4340.

The benefits office also is hosting computer lab sessions. All sessions will be in MCPH 2007. Dates and times are listed below. As a reminder, all social distancing guidelines are to be taken and everyone utilizing the labs will need to wear a mask.
