Jason Shiffermiller, M.D., assistant professor, General Internal Medicine Section, is among the many new faculty members on the UNMC campus.
Name:Jason Shiffermiller, M.D.
Title: Assistant professor – General Internal Medicine Section. Dr. Shiffermiller’s main duty will be inpatient attending. He also will be involved in formal medical student and resident education. In addition, he will help develop the academic hospitalist program and identify hospital-based clinical research opportunities.

Previous positions: Hospitalist at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln from July 2001 until December 2005.

Clinic hours: Dr. Shiffermiller covers the Acute Care Clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Internal Medicine Clinic in the Durham Outpatient Center. He does pre-ops on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Durham Outpatient Center.
