Do you have a goal for the new year?

UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to name their goal and commit to an action for 30 days, while giving yourself the best chance to reach your goals through a lifestyle change program.

Commit to Fit, launched first at UNO and now open to the UNMC community, will run from Jan. 15 through Feb. 15.

Fill out, on the UNO website, this brief goal guide to start off 2021 with action.

Choosing a goal is easy, committing to a specific action takes motivation and UNMC’s Center for Healthy Living and UNO Campus Recreation will support you the entire way. When you fill out the goal form, UNO Campus Rec will send you resources, encouragement and help you with the accountability you need to reach your goal.

It does not matter where you start, only that you start. Whether it is a physical goal like losing weight, eating more vegetables, drinking more water, or an intellectual goal like learning a new skill, reading a book or using a new studying method. You identify the goal and commit to it for 30 days.

It’s as easy as 1-2-3. To participate:

  • Name your goal for 2021.
  • Identify the action you will take to achieve your goal.
  • Commit to 30 days of action.
