Final Breakthrough Thinking events set

UNMC’s 2020-21 Breakthrough Thinking Conference Series will conclude with Zoom presentations on March 30 and April 7.

The March 30 event will be from noon-2 p.m. and will feature:

  • William Kassler, MD, of IBM, discussing augmented intelligence; and
  • Ajit Sachdeva, MD, of the American College of Surgeons, discussing “Transformative Surgical Education and Training: Innovations; Collaboration; and Continuous Improvement.”

The April 7 event will be from 10 a.m.-noon and will feature:

  • Kevin Kruger, PhD, of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, discussing “How the COVID-19 Pandemic is Shaping the Short and Long-term Future of Student Affairs”; and
  • Timothy Renick, PhD, of Georgia State University, discussing “Eliminating Equity Gaps Through Data and Analytics.”

The events will be held through Zoom. More information will be available as the event dates approach.
