Drs. Dering-Anderson, Baine honored

Ally Dering-Anderson, PharmD, was named Distinguished Teacher of the Year and Michael Baine, MD, PhD, Distinguished Mentor of the Year, respectively, by the UNMC Student Senate in its annual awards presentation.

The Student Senate also presented runners-up honors in those categories, as well as awards for student impact.

Dr. Dering-Anderson is clinical associate professor for pharmacy practice in the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Baine is assistant professor of radiation oncology in the College of Medicine.

    Congrats Dr. Ally..You deserve this award. Thank you so much for initializing a dream of mine in having immunization clinics with the assistance of the Pharm students. It is a great learning experience for the Pharm students from record keeping to drawing up and giving the immunization. Something very necessary in the Healthcare arena.
