On June 19, the Scottish Rite Foundation is hosting the 2021 WalkRite for RiteCare at Chalco Hills Recreation Area at 8901 S. 154th St., near S. 154th Street and Giles Road.

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m., with families walking as much — or as little — as they want.

“We are excited to be able to walk in person again,” said Micah Evans, development director for the Scottish Rite Foundations of Nebraska. “We’re looking forward to seeing our RiteCare families again, as well as our fabulous speech therapists and our other friends and supporters. WalkRite is a fun event for the entire community, and it’s a chance to support the important work of the RiteCare Clinics throughout the state.”

The event is open to the public. Participation can be as either a team member, team captain, or fundraiser.

Scottish Rite members will be grilling burgers and hot dogs, and the event features raffles and games. All the money raised supports speech therapy for children through MMI’s RiteCare Clinics, supported by the Scottish Rite Foundations.

Raffle items have been donated by the RiteCare clinicians and RiteCare families.
