People are Everything: UNMC employees can now recognize UNO colleagues

On June 16, the People are Everything employee rewards and recognition program used by UNMC employees will be available to employees at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. UNO and UNMC employees will be able to send ecards and points to each other.

A joint “Rec Room” to recognize colleagues or post ecards sent to others also will be available.

The People are Everything platform has been available to UNMC since 2016. It provides for peer-to-peer and management recognition and features options for ecards, redeemable points, service awards points, and nominations for Gold and Silver U awards.

“Employee recognition matters, and People are Everything is a great platform that can be used to recognize and incentivize teamwork and collaboration,” said Linda Cunningham, associate director of human resources for UNMC Employee Relations, Organizational Development & Diversity and UNO Employee Relations & Organizational Development. “People are Everything has been very successful at UNMC and we’re excited to get the platform at UNO.”

UNO employees will be receiving an email invitation from Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, to preview the platform. It will include a video about the program by Dr. Gold and Aileen Warren, assistant vice chancellor for human resources.

People get busy with their workload and don't utilize this program enough in my experience. I love giving out points to those I appreciate! People really are everything.
