UNMC and Nebraska Medicine will participate in the Heartland Pride 2021 Parade and Festival on Saturday, July 10. Med center participants will assemble at 8:30 a.m. at the Old Market Health Center on 13th and Leavenworth for juice, water and donuts before the parade begins at 10 a.m. Visit the Heartland Pride website for details on the parade route.
Family and friends are welcome. Wear a 2021 UNMC and Nebraska Medicine co-branded black pride shirt (a limited number of these will be available at the parade for free) or any UNMC or Nebraska Medicine shirt. Prizes will be offered for participants who show the most spirit.
The Heartland Pride Festival begins at 1:30 p.m. at Baxter Arena in Omaha. UNMC and Nebraska Medicine will host a booth from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
