How I fell in love with dentistry:
I have always loved science. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1992 and then taught high school biology and chemistry. I hadn’t considered dentistry until I was a patient at the UNMC College of Dentistry. During a dental appointment, I was talking with a faculty member about my background, and they thought dentistry would be a good fit for me and encouraged me to consider a dental career.
