Editor’s note: This article originally ran in August 2021. The UNMC Photo ID office currently is located in the 4230 Building, not the Student Life Center. As of summer 2023, the photo ID office, parking services and public safety support services are on Level 3 (the upstairs floor) of the 4230 Building at 4230 Leavenworth St. The building entrance is on the north side of the building. To better serve its customers, the UNMC Photo ID office will move from its current location on level one of the Student Life Center to level two of the Student Life Center. The move will occur Aug. 6 and the office will be closed that day.
As one of the first stops for all new UNMC and Nebraska Medicine staff, faculty and students, the new location provides for a more spacious waiting area, said Steve Williamson, director of Public Safety Support Services. With the move, the Photo ID Office conveniently will be located on the same level as Parking Services, which is in the UNMC Bookstore. Free parking is available on the east side of the Student Life Center.
The office will be closed Aug. 6 during the move, but will accommodate emergency ID requests that day. If an ID is necessary on that day, call 402-559-8414. The office will reopen Aug. 9 in its new location.
