Student Senate officers announced

UNMC Student Senate officers for 2021-22 are, from left, Taylor Kratochvil (president), Hannah Tandon (vice president), Katie Schultis (chief of staff) and Estefania Lanza Rodriguez (treasurer).

UNMC medical students Taylor Kratochvil of Omaha, and Hannah Tandon of Los Angeles, California, will serve as UNMC Student Senate president and vice president, respectively, for the current 2021-22 school year. Both Kratochvil and Tandon are fourth-year medical students in the UNMC College of Medicine.

Kratochvil also will represent UNMC as a non-voting member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.

Other Student Senate officers for 2021-22 and their hometowns are:

  • Estefania Lanza Rodriguez of San Juan, Puerto Rico, a UNMC College of Public Health master's degree student serving as treasurer; and
  • Katie Schultis of Diller, Nebraska, a second-year medical student in the UNMC College of Medicine serving as chief of staff.
