Question 10 — Students and faculty used this lounge for many years. Where was it and what happened to it?

picture disc.Answer 10 — This is the Conkling Hall Lounge. Conkling Hall was built in 1923 to house the School of Nursing. The School of Nursing moved to a new home in 1957 (now the Specialty Services Pavilion) and Conkling became home to faculty and administrative offices, including student services. The lounge continued to be used by faculty and students until Conkling was demolished in 1996 to make way for The Lied Transplant Center.
